I grew up on the coast of Maine. And I've had a camera in my hand since I was about 10 years old. I fell in love with photography not only as an art form, but as a way to tell a story.
Having started photography very young, I am mostly self taught. However, I have taken many classes over the years including digital, film, and fine art classes at the Maine College of Art and Design.

Melody's Style:
I'm a Documentary style photographer which means I shoot a mix of candid + fine art images. I am also deeply inspired by film photography. I edit all my photos to have that natural, clean look of film.
Feels Like Film
You simply can not beat film photography. It is downright gorgeous. However, the obvious drawback with film is that you don't know what the images will look like until weeks later: (not ideal for your wedding day).
I give my clients the best of both words. I shoot with a mirrorless digital camera which allows me to quickly capture EVERY moment of the day, but I edit my images with handcrafted filters to resemble a fuji film camera.
