Roger Williams Botanical Garden Wedding

The Roger Williams Botanical Garden is the perfect place for a fairytale wedding. I photographed Vinny and Olivia’s wedding here and was blown away.

The greenhouse lighting made each photo perfect. Additionally, the lush greens complimented Olivia’s white dress and gold accents. Even the flowers were blooming for the couple’s special day.

Vinny and Olivia had their Roger Williams Botanical Garden Wedding in October. Since it was late fall, they opted for a greenhouse ceremony. The venue does have an outdoor option in the summer months, but the time of year made the greenhouse the obvious choice.

The greenhouse is kept fairly warm year round. Because of this, you may want to choose a cooler month! For instance, spring and fall are great times to have a wedding at the Roger Williams Botanical Garden. However, the heat in summer months may make the space a bit stuffy.

The Ceremony

Vinny and Olivia had a beautiful ceremony and there were many happy tears in the room.

As you might know, the greenhouse is split into two sections – one half for the ceremony and one half for the reception. The space felt especially intimate in the best way possible. It was almost as though their friends and family were a part of the ceremony.

They kept things simple with vows and a ring exchange. The image that I got of them walking back down the aisle is one of my favorites to date. It is simple, but you can feel the restful, joyous bond that these two have.

The Reception

Vinny and Olivia’s wedding was on a Thursday, but that didn’t stop the party from starting! Their friends and family danced the night away on the dance floor.

The reception space at Roger Williams Botanical garden consists of a dance floor and 5-6 tables on either side. It can host a maximum of 130 guests. They have a couple of options when it comes to the space, so I would definitely schedule a tour and see if the space will be right for you!
